[Marathon-]

WOW!

This is the first Clock movie I've ever seen that almost managed to convince me that inanimate objects with clocks on them are a GOOD idea for movies! Almost.... I still think the idea's so random and poor (not yours but the whole clock-trend in the first place)... however, it goes to show that someone with as much talent as you can easily transform the clock-image. I know there are quite a few good clockcrew animators who produce decent work - but they are never as great as this....

Good effects...

The helecoptors were greatly drawn - I liked the rotary effects, they wre great. Plus the guy in the wheelchair, his gun-shooting was great, and so were the explosions...

However the movie had no real substance... if this was made into a more serious movie, and a bit more effort and care was taken on the scenery, it should have made a much better NG movie... maybe even possibly won an award. But this doesn't relaly deserve anything more than a 2.5 score unfortunately.

Wow!

I was so getting ready to blam this as well!! And it turned out to be great, in comparison!! (The title and size were similar to many other bad movies I've blammed today... but I always watch the movie first anyway, luckily)>

This was great - the graphics were cute and it was a decent size for a decent product, only under 300kb! Well done, you get a 3/5 from me.

[Obscure]

It was good...

Very interesting movie, had a nice plot, and smooth animation. The graphics fit the style, and it was a good backing song by Deftones to pick...

However I don't think it deserves as much as the praise perhaps, as it has got - I do say that with respect, but in my opinion it was good, but not elite-grade NG material... but that is just my opinion, the opinions of thousands of other people obviously masks mine.

[Violence Without Meaning]

Interesting...

The scenery sucked... the characters didn't look too good. But I did like the violence, the backing tracks were picked semi-decently, and it was quite funny. It sorta had a Pico-style feel to it really... I liked it for that...

I'm giving you a 2.

[The cops]

It was alright I spose...

Decent weapons, not *too* shoddy graphics, the music didn't suit at all and it wasn't a very good transition. Plus the slow-mo effects were appaulingly bad, in a not-funny, but stupid way. Change that.

Some scenes really need improvement, others fit very well - e.g. the scene with the cop/terrorist running and shooting with a non-existant scrolling background? That sucked...

Whereas the cops surrounding the building was reasonably good. Giving this a "2"

[Stickjitsu]

Decent.

I'd expected a lot worse- this was a decent stick fight... good violence, nice effects, of course everything is cliche'd to the max, because it is a stick movie. But at least it is a decent stick movie - unlike some, which are totally cliche, except done BADLY too!

I liked this, it was smooth, not too professional compared to others I've seen and it wasn't really that fun to watch... but it was good. You get a 2.

[Flash 5 First! :)]

No...

The stupid camera sounds for every button press? DON'T DO THAT, IT PISSES PEOPLE OFF!!!

The graphics in this were okay-ish for a first time, but not good for an NG submission, which is the criteria I'm grading this on. The movie was a mess, totaly frustrating and slow-moving, with stupid little pointless flashy things everywhere. And if I wanted to read a 1000-page novel I'd go to the library, it's supposed to be a flash MOVIE not BOOK.

To sum up:
1) Quit the shitty sounds, they piss me off.
2) Don't have so much text in it... it's annoying
3) Develop scenes/characters more, or make a good storyline. Either way, do something

Yep...

The message wasn't clear, I don't really think there was supposed to be one. This was a decently-animated movie anyway, a parody of those giant TV commercial cigarettes - I'm guessing you just saw that advert and thought it'd be cool to make them more violent in a Flash movie. Fair enough! :>

You get a 3. But I would have appreciated some sound, it was totally feeling-less without any sound at all.

[Baby boy]

It was cute...

I did like the graphics, it was a cute character, however this movie had no substance. Fair enough it was meant to be a cute lil click-around... but there were only 4 buttons anyway dude!! And they weren't actually that great when you clicked on them.

I would LOVE to see this character, as smoothly animated as this, in a feature-length film. I don't really mind if it's not as "testosterone-filled" as all the other movies, and I'm into this... it's not just for girls! But it does need a lot more - so I'm only giving it a 2.

i didn't submit this to try and be no.1 or anything, it's just a short piece from my portfolio that i thought the girls might like to see (since my gf loved it).
but it seems that most of NG hates it but that's ok, lol
i guess they want to be entertained, hopefully my upcoming movie 'The Legend Of A Samurai' fulfills their needs. You can check out the trailer on NG if you're bored and tell me what you think = )
